Course Description: 
This four-hour course is designed to provide current and aspiring solar energy technicians with an understanding of the periodic maintenance required to ensure optimal energy production over the lifetime of a photovoltaic (PV) system. Participants will review the components in a PV system, identify common PV system malfunctions, learn what’s expected in a six-month and twelve-month checkup, examine I-V curves to recognize production issues, and explore tools that can be used to find existing and potential problem areas.  

Students can work through recorded presentations and exercises at their own pace. When the coursework is finished and the final assignment receives a passing grade, a completion certificate is issued.
