Online Independent Study Course:
- Students can work through recorded presentations, and exercises at their own pace.
- Once the coursework is complete you will receive a Letter of Completion for the training.
- Students have one year to complete the course from the start date to receive credit.
Course Description:
This four-hour course provides participants with fundamental terms and concepts to understand how electricity works and demonstrates how to implement safe work practices to avoid electrical shock, arc flash, and job site hazards.
Other topics covered include: circuit components, conductor properties, basic wiring methods and techniques, and how to use electrical measuring instruments (meters).
- It should take approximately 4 hours to complete all required activities* in this course.
- MREA courses are PASS/FAIL
- Assignments and Review Questions can only be attempted once, but you can review them anytime. Your pass/fail status is not dependent on your "scores," but please do your best and ask questions when you have them.
